DIPLOMATIC COOPERATION

Diplomatic cooperation is based on a legal framework that facilitates mobility and consultation between the two foreign ministries.

On March 9, 2016, in Conakry, an Agreement on the Reciprocal Exemption of Diplomatic, Service, and Official Visas, as well as the issuance of visas on arrival for holders of ordinary passports, was signed. This agreement constitutes a key pillar of diplomatic cooperation between the two countries.

On the same date and between the same authorities, the two countries also concluded an Agreement on Regular Diplomatic Consultations, establishing a permanent dialogue mechanism between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs. This instrument strengthens bilateral coordination on regional, multilateral, and strategic issues.

Finally, during the cooperation session on October 9, 2024, in Kigali, several sectoral memorandums were signed under the supervision of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, covering:

  • Youth
  • Crafts
  • Sport
  • Public administration
  • Special economic zones
  • Exports
